Bringing Infants with Alaska Airlines

  • Infants sitting on a parent’s lap are not allowed to sit in the emergency exit seats or in the rows directly in front of or behind any exit row on Alaska Airlines planes.
  • Although infants held in their parent’s lap during a flight are not assigned a seat, the infant can use it if any become available.

Alaska Airlines Baggage Policy for Pets

Animals are allowed on Alaska Airlines flights. However, certain rules apply. Alaska Airlines has specific regulations regarding bringing pets in the cabin and transporting them as cargo.

  • If your pet meets all of the necessary criteria, you will be given an official pet carrier from Alaska Airlines.
  • Carriers completely sealed on the bottom and have enough space for the pet to move around without hitting the roof are the only ones allowed inside the cabin.
  • Only certain animals are allowed to be brought on board Alaska Airlines flights, including dogs, domestic birds, and small pets.
